lots going on on the nose, cherry and other fruit, some metallic notes too. burst of fruit on attack. tannins are very fine. no overcooked notes at all. complex and layered finish. at £45 it is very good value.

Dark, concentrated nose. Plush and opulent attack. finish is subdued, a touch of smoke, pleasant.. but at £45 /bt it is not good value.

past its prime - still a very nice colour, totally integrated tannins but very faint fruit only. the wine is flat in attack and mid palate. but exhibits etherreal notes on the after-finish that denote unmistakeably a sense of place and savoir-faire. still enjoyable. never cheap.. but worth the experience.

needs half a day of decant to display what it's got. But even then, remains not very complex. One dimensional(not totally) but nothing particularly amazing or truly worth remembering. Clear signs of expensive oak treatment, a hint or raisins, cooked plum on the palate, the rest is black fruit.. finish is medium to long, pleasant, but not a 95er. 200/cs IB, fair price

clear signs of maturity on colour, pleasant nose. At first shows strong coco notes, suggesting overoaked, but dissipates with time. Tannins fully integrated and flows smoothly. Hints of liqueur, but wished for a bit more fruit and a longer finish. Neither a total disappointment nor a blockbuster.

Gerard Bertrand? Not much substance here, nose was closed and palate uninspiring. The tannins show sign of expensive oak treatment, but the whole thing is not up to standard. Avoid.
