5/7/24, 3:05 PM - Curious what the Costco price was?
5/7/24, 4:00 PM - Thanks! I just found for $142 locally so will grab it while I can...
4/8/24, 7:45 AM - Smart. They could use a few years. I have several left so will try to check in on them and comment over the years. Stay tuned!
11/1/23, 3:35 PM - Wow, that should be incredible! Fingers crossed for you. Enjoy!!
10/17/23, 12:00 PM - Thanks @tward. I only didn’t create the new wines because I didn’t know enough of the information for them to be accurate. Hopefully Scott (or someone) adds them at some point.
5/13/23, 6:03 PM - Great idea!
2/19/23, 5:40 PM - Wow, 8.5 years later, I just had a similar experience as you with this wine!! Really interesting and surprising.
2/16/22, 7:15 AM - I did PnP but it would probably benefit from an hour or so decant
8/24/21, 9:30 AM - Mark1npt - I have done both as I have opened and Coravined several bottles of this. My personal experience is that with Coravin it's pretty much ready to go in the glass and evolves over the course of the glass. If I open it up, I tend to like best after a short decant. I actually have not found that it holds up as well to a long (several hour) decant, but that's my personal preference.
6/16/21, 5:10 PM - Ha, he did!
3/23/21, 9:48 PM - I actually found that it really opened up starting around 45 minutes into Night 1's glass. Night 2 was terrific--it did well with the 24 hours of life. Felt a bit less fruit forward, more balanced, more structured. Hope you find similar next time you try it.
3/22/21, 5:20 PM - Thanks for doing that!
3/17/21, 3:06 PM - Appreciate the opinion and insight. I will pop and decant the rest of the bottle and judge from that. Coravin is rarely a fair or accurate tool for judgment.
3/7/21, 7:05 AM - I think you’ll feel pretty confident whenever you pop this over the next several years. Enjoy!
2/22/21, 1:40 PM - Really appreciate that insight. Although I love my Coravin, I do agree with your assessment, especially on a wine like this that requires a little air. Will just open the rest of the bottle and decant a bit and then assess again...
4/3/20, 1:20 PM - Enjoy, @FreddieMoose!!!
8/24/19, 11:49 AM - Well worth it, sean7711. I wish I'd grabbed more!
5/21/18, 7:59 AM - Disgorged in April 2017. But listed as 2017 vintage in CT.
5/21/18, 8:07 AM - Fair enough. Tasting note located under both 2017 and NV. Only reason to do both, is so you can distinguish for yourself which specific bottling of the NV you're rating. (It's why I like that Krug Grand Cuvee does editions...)
7/6/16, 8:28 AM - Bluegoose, the Myriad G3 is spectacular. The Quivet just is a little more my style and really blew my mind, especially for the price point.
1/27/16, 12:44 AM - Couldn't agree more! Definitely deserves a 101 score!
10/21/15, 8:22 AM - Yes! But thankfully the restaurant refunded my $700 (two glasses) when I explained that the somm never told me the insane price tag ahead of time.
4/23/15, 8:48 AM - BuzzzzOff... I have seen some notes that say this is still a little tight compared to it's potential. And that some later vintages like the 2002 have opened up earlier. So you would be fine to sit on it for a bit longer. I believe I had the 1999 about a year ago and it was drinking well--you may want to hit that one first. But my personal opinion: the 2000 is KILLER right now and thoroughly enjoyable... so if the opportunity presents itself, don't wait! Enjoy it!!
1/12/15, 10:55 AM - You'll be rewarded! I just opened my last two in the last couple months and they are really singing. Wish I had more...
