Cabernet Tasting 2001 - 2007 (Manhattan Beach, CA): Good solid wine. A little fruitier, jammier than other formans I've tasted. Maybe the vintage. Maybe it could use more time in the cellar.

Full bodied, deep crimson color, rich, polished and accessible but a just a bit hot on the nose and finish, nose of spice, dark fruit, sweet tobacco, taste/mouth-feel is chewy, structured and fleshy. I think it is still young and will soften and integrate nicely with a little more time in the cellar.

This has really improved since I last tried it 5 years ago. Deep violet/purple color, full bodied, rich black currant, cherry, sage, tobacco, sweet soft tannins, well integrated, nice long finish. At its peak I would guess. Sadly, my last bottle.

Nice ruby color, funky but not unpleasant nose at first, red fruit, earth, taste of cherry, herbs, eucalyptus, medium body, balanced, long finish. Has held up well, but won't wait too long to drink my last bottle.

Deep garnet color, nose of red and black berries, leather, smooth but a bit tannic, muted fruit, rather acidic finish. All in all, I'm thinking that it has great potential to open up and come together with time in the glass, but maybe it is just stuck in an awkward place.
