First had this at Wynn in Vegas. Resembles viognier is flavor profile. Tart fruit, crisp and light. Very nice served cold.

For $10, the 2004 Monastrell Tinto is amazing. An extraordinary bouquet of raspberries, blueberries, and vanilla jumps from the glass of this dense, medium to full-bodied, luscious, fruit-filled, seamlessly constructed effort. It is ideal for consumption over the next several years. The good news is that 2,500 cases are exported to the U.S. This estate is one of the top discoveries of all my tastings. Green apples and grapefruit, a hint of lemon. A little minerality in the mud and a long almost citrus rind bitter end that resolves to a mild warhead candy sour flavor. -t

Grapefruit and honeysuckle on the front, ruby grapefruit in the mid, and a nice long finish. Very refreshing, has enough structure to go with a meal, but also interesting enough just for itself. -T

Cherries, chocolate, vanilla, blueberries, a hint of barnyard on the nose. Soft mouth feel, brief but very nice. Glad we popped it, I don't think more age would improve it.

Juicy up front, beautiful structure all the way through. Lovely and lively finish that is strong and long. Vanilla, pepper, cola, and bing cherries. Compared to the 2012, this is much stronger and bolder. I think this will age very nicely and still be able to stand up for itself. -T

Much softer than the 2012, blackberries, blueberry cobbler, vanilla, and dripping bing cherries. Strong finish. But compared 2012, this is a much more refined vintage. -T
