5/1/24, 2:19 PM - I paid $20/bt. A very good deal and it is still available at that price at my local wine shop.
4/10/24, 6:45 PM - Thank you for your tasting note. I also enjoy Domaine Tempier. For me, I don’t touch these until 10 years from the vintage. From my perspective, they take a long time to age.
12/14/23, 7:00 PM - So Ben, didn’t you open it? Or did it come from a bar vis a vis wine by the glass?
12/7/23, 5:05 PM - Maybe it is too soon to try to enjoy a bottle?
11/5/23, 6:47 PM - I agree that the description doesn’t match the score, however, it would be nice if the wine tasting notes were more descriptive in general. What’s up Collenloversbks.
9/22/23, 6:06 PM - Thanks for your comments on the 2018 Baudry. Honestly, I think the wines from Baudry are more than “daily drinkers”. They are great wines to cellar for a period of time and enjoy. I find them to be very complex considering how inexpensive they are.
7/9/22, 5:49 PM - Thank you for being brave to open such a young wine from this domaine. I don’t usually open a bottle before it’s tenth birthday.
7/2/22, 4:53 PM - I am curious as to why to drank this with a flank steak. Perhaps you would have enjoyed it more with different food.
7/21/21, 6:06 PM - I am sorry that you had this experience with this wine. I have it in my cellar, but don’t plan to drink it for a number of years. I have had other vintages that were very good. So, perhaps, it could be that the wine is just too young and is disjointed at this early stage.
6/20/20, 3:40 PM - I felt the same way with the most recent bottles that I have had so far. It is disappointing. I did not leave a tasting note since it seemed so contrary to everyone’s experience, except mine.
12/12/19, 11:12 AM - Since you mentioned that you had it from an opened bottle at a restaurant, then I think the answer to why the wine was disappointing was exactly that. It had been open for a while. I have had this wine numerous times over the years and it has always been magnificent.
11/27/19, 7:25 PM - I appreciate your comments, but I don’t think the wine is young and in consideration of pre-mox experienced by many who cellar white burgundy, this is certainly in its prime drinking window, in my humble opinion.
9/28/19, 9:16 AM - Hi Frank, thanks for your post. I hope you enjoy the game today. Go Badgers! Jim
9/17/19, 1:18 PM - Well, it certainly is not too old. Maybe you had a bad bottle.
9/17/19, 1:17 PM - I think it is way too soon to open one of these. I am enjoying the 2008’s right now.
8/15/19, 7:16 PM - It’s still too young to drink in my opinion. These wines can age for many years.
7/26/19, 5:00 PM - I have had this wine from several past vintages and this one is probably in the middle of the pack. I am not a big fan of Rosé in general, but I like to try a bottle or two of this wine every year.
6/29/19, 4:49 AM - Did you like this wine? Your feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.
11/4/18, 4:59 PM - I really don’t think this wine needs more time. It is very open with modest tannins. I think now is the time to enjoy this vintage.
5/8/18, 7:53 PM - You must enjoy your CdP’s very young. I appreciate you popping the corks and letting us know what you think about it. Cheers!
3/11/18, 8:07 AM - I suffer from score inflation just like some of the wine pundits. It really was an 89.
2/18/18, 6:35 PM - I think it is too early to drink this. It may be closed for now.
11/13/17, 7:03 PM - I’m glad to here it. I am prying open the wooden case soon for my first first bottle.
5/25/17, 4:59 AM - Hey, I'm just off by one state! Thanks for your comment.
4/22/17, 8:45 PM - These wines generally age very well. I am still drinking the 2005s, 2006s and 2008s, so I believe that you may have had a bad bottle. I hope you keep trying these wines.
4/21/17, 6:37 PM - Thank you for your tasting note. I would think that this vintage has many year ahead of it. Hopefully, it will be drinking well for another 10 years r more.
4/12/17, 4:46 PM - Wow, while I appreciate your review, it is hard for me to accept that a 10 year Beaucastel from a great vintage would be fading at this point. Maybe you had a poor showing. Keep trying!
3/18/17, 7:15 PM - I think this wine is way too early to drink and perhaps that is why you did not have a good experience with it.
3/8/17, 8:27 PM - I am puzzled by your 93 rating based on your comments. If it was good, but not great, then I would have expected a much lower score. Thanks.
11/4/16, 4:58 PM - You must have had a bad bottle as your assessment is quite different than most reviewers. I generally like this producer and will be surprised if I have the same experience when I open one of these bottles.
9/18/16, 7:13 AM - You're right, it was Le Haut-lieu Demi-Sec. Thanks.
9/15/16, 7:17 PM - I think it is way too early to drink this wine, but I appreciate everyone who is pulling corks and providing feedback on the wine as it evolves. I would guess that it has closed down now for a while.
7/9/16, 5:02 PM - This is a wine, especially from a vintage like 2010, that will require 12 to 15 years in the cellar for it to show its virtues. It may have now entered a "dumb" phase where it is not showing very well.
9/27/15, 6:28 PM - I believe that the 2008 Geyserville has the potential to age for another 5 years or so. It is very delicious now, but perhaps it will get even better. Thanks to BuzzzzOff for his comments.
6/10/14, 6:08 PM - I agree, I think the taster just had a bad bottle. After all, these were just released in the past 6 to 8 months. I hope that Swifty will try another one.
9/27/13, 6:39 PM - I don't think the wine needs more time. In my opinion it is fully mature and has about 3 to 4 more years at its plateau of maturity.
6/18/13, 4:51 PM - Congratulations on being freed ! I know how difficult it can be. Enjoy!
12/26/12, 5:21 PM - I agree with Kitura's comments on the 2011 vintage of Lapierre's Morgon. I love the 2009 and 2010 versions, but I was not impressed with the 2011. Perhaps it needs a few months in the celler to settle down. Since this is usually a great wine and others seem to like this vintage, I will try it again soon to see of my opinion changes. I hope so.
4/7/12, 7:12 PM - You must have had a bad bottle. Les Cailloux has provide me with great pleaure over the years. It is a great estate in Chateauneuf Du Pape.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
