A fruit bomb, still young, little to no acid backbone. Very approachable. Needs time

Drank Jan 2022
Color was approaching garnet but mostly still purple. No acid or astringency noticed. Mild fruit with no noticeable barnyard or earthy elements. Held up much better than anticipated.

Cleaning out the cellar and found this. Was not expecting much, but this guy has held up. Still lots of fruit, not much funk/earth and mild acid - overall I was pleased

Still hanging on. Dark ruby colour with no bricking. Still fruit forward, no acid or appreciable tannins. Quite enjoyable and surprising !!

After 21 years it has help up exceptionally well - decanted for 24 hours, still a vibrant red, tannis are all softened out, fruit is almost all but gone.

Still lots of life, jammy and fruity, a touch of acid. Wish I had more to see how it would evolve.

Kept this last bottle an extra few years as an experiment to see how an Australian cab holds up over time (I find all my Australian Shiraz get sweet, jammy and tastes like tomato paste as is gets old). I was pleasantly surprised with this bottle, loads of dark fruit, thick mouthfeel - just missed by a hint of acid to make it great.

Surprisingly good. Very thin wine with a watery mouthfeel and a slight heat. Nicely balanced acid, mellow tannins and mild fruit.

No rating as this is way past its prime. As expected it had Marsalatad

Light with a hot feel - mild fruit with a boatload of acid - enjoyable with food

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. Beautiful nose, dynamic right out of the bottle, beautifully balanced tannnis/acid, fantastic food wine. There is light sediment in the bottle. The body is full. The wine finishes long.

Porty nose. Very thick and syrupy with a heavy mouthfeel. No notable acid or tannins, primarily dark fruits.

I was quitre interested in opening and drinking this from my collection - this was the first Canadian future I had purchase and we pruchased it after tasting from the barrel. First off everyone was impressed that this was a Canadian wine. Tannis and acid were have all dissolved away by Dec 2011, the wine still offered mild fruit and had a thick mouth feel. it might last another few years but I think this was an optimal time to drink.

Very nice nose. porty sweet aromas at first than a touch of must. Tannins were still powerful but the wine was starting to break down. I would drink it soon if you have it.

Drank in Summer 2007 which seemed to be perfect timing, decanted for 1hr, mild and pleasent fruit with no tannin/acid.
