What a hit! I bought this because cellar tracker had a high average score with over 10 reviews. I’m now on the wineries list. This full bodied fruit forward Syrah was decanted for 30 mins lots of sediment in bottle. Everybody loved it. Long finish powerful wine.

Fruit and full bodied. This punched way over its value. Wife and I both though it was amazing. We were still talking about it the next day.

Raisin on the nose slight tawny. Spicy or peppery in a good way with lots of flavor. Herb. Medium length finish. You want another sip after about 40 seconds.

So balanced you could hardly even taste the alcohol. At %16 I had to check the bottle. Ink dark heavy but lovely lovely. One of my favorite wines.

30 min decant. Only a little sediment apparent. What an easy drinker. Red currents, cranberry but with none of the tartness. Alcohol flavor perfectly waits patiently until the other flavors have had a turn and then presents itself in an orderly fashion. Smooth. Like rubbing your hand on freshly finely sanded wood. Think 220 grit. Med to short finish.

Comes out swinging and doesn't stop! Flavors roll over each other with some polte jostling for attention. Then they line up and present. Dark plum, ripe strawberry, tobaco notes. Long finish means your friend finishes his story before the flavor has left your tougue on a single sip. Must have been minutes on the finish.

They served it a little warm but that did not dampen this wines spirits. Long finish, balanced flavors of tobacco and currents. One in the party felt it was too bitter.

It was good but it had a sharpish taste to it. I think I served it too cold and too soon. brought up from 55 cellar, deacanted an served within 30 mins or less. Or its way too young. Some sediment.

This bottle is the personification of why i buy bedrock wine. Under $50 and punches way above its “class”. Pepper notes, well balanced, long finish, complex flavors. Just wow. Decanted for 30mins drank over 2 hrs.

The wine was amazing! 1hr upright 1 hr decant. Tart strawberry on the nose. Chocolate bites with bitter start but but oh so soft finish. Like bitting into an apple and at first you feel it will be so tart but suddenly the taste softens. Long long finish. I was reading and could 5 mins past and the taste was still in my mouth.

Drank at La Grotta in Atlanta. 10 min decant. Fruity on the nose. Soft and tasty with a perfect balanced finish. It disagreed with my fillet with Gorgonzola but was happy with all other items that were served.

15 min decant. Some residue in remainder. This was balanced with a long finish. Kept having to go back and try another sip. Berry with licorice. This was excellent I’m now mad that I only bought one. Should’ve bought a case.

1 hr decant served a little cold, 65F ish. Needed more time to breath. First impressions were a forceful flavor profile a little unbalanced. 20 mins later was better but still a needed time. The Shiraz was heavy. I think that if it had been a little warmer and a longer decant it would be great.

Possibly flawed. I don't know what it was missing. It was full of flavors but kind of out of balance. The Ladies at the table did not finish. Bottle had sediment but also looked like a film of sediment spread evenly over the whole bottle. that's why I put the possibly flawed. I bought this a total wine and the price was $10-20 lower than market at the time. I suspect it got left out in a heated truck or something. Just a guess though.

Second to the CNDP 2012 Pegau. 2 hr decant. Less "sweet" than the CNDP it still went down noticeably smooth and flavorful. Served with tenderloin and salmon roast potatoes and leaks. Great wine.

How can this wine improve? decanted for 40 minutes and served with rack of lamb. it might have been a slight too cold as it came from cellar and I did not give it a ton of time to warm up etc. Tannins and mouthfeel were present but in perfect balance. so much so that the fruit comes almost unannounced by any alcohol or acidity. Fantastic Fantastic wine. I'm now officially jealous of anybody who has any Cayuse. If this is any indication it must be fabulous.
