Very much sulfur on the nose. We gave it an hour or so in the decanter then dumped it down the drain.

Still impressive. Provided a great match to a side dish of asparagus w/crispy pancetta, blue cheese & duck egg. Wine was well integrated with plenty of fruit and long finish. Glad I have more.

Perfect with spit roasted steaks. Big, deep red. Aging nicely but hold for another 2-5 years.

A shame to drink it so young. A classic Riesling with acidity, petrol, and crisp fruit. Great with our Thai dinner.

Nicely integrated with age. Fruit was subdued at first but the wine opened up after 30 minutes. Not as much oak as I expected which was nice. Enjoyable with a nice steak.

A wonderful pairing with Coq au Vin. Very bright acidity, lighter and more finese than the Anden that was also served. Drinking well but not yet peaked.

The wine showed great depth and complexity on the palate. The late havest "silvercap" with a dry finish made for a rewarding wine. I will be cellaring the balance to see where this wine goes. Lovely for such a young wine.

Will benefit by decanting for an hour or more to reveal the wonderful, complex nose. Dark fruit, complex with a rich dark color. This wine deserves to be paired with food to really shine. A classic OR Pinot with great mouth feel. Will age for another 3-4 years.

This wine is showing extremely well right now. I opened the bottle and had a quick taste test. The nose was refined and elegant. The impression on the palate was just as amazing. A couple hours in the decanter and things continued to improve.
The wine has excellent balance with delicate dark fruit.

Opened at a Freedom Hill Tasting and dinner. Tasted along side the '02 which was amazing and I did not expect much from the '03. However, the wine is holding it's own with age. The wine is getting more interesting and integrated and has balance that will allow it to age for a another few years. A very enjoyable wine on the darker side of Pinot.

This wine is drinking very well right now if you can invest 2 hours in decanting. The nose is beatiful and classic Bordeaux. I remember chocolate. Tannins have softened and flavours are well integrated on the palate. This bottle was drained very quickly at a dinner party with some very good wines to choose from.

Bottle seemed a little past its prime when first opened and tasted. It had a medium ruby color and tasted of ripe berries and currants. Decanting for 4 hours turned this wine into a beauty and completely changed my mind. The wine was still wonderful and paired well with beef braised in Borolo.

This is the common Trimbach but still does better with age. Displays the classic mineral nose and still has sharp acid to work with a spicy meal. Begining to go more golden in color with age. Give this some time of open up and you still have a excellent everyday Trimbach that is aging well.
