Lemon and lime dominate the nose, there’s a little undertone of yeasty bread. Opens really fresh and zingy on the palate, there’s crunchy green apple and lime juice. Really pure flavours. Lots of zingy acidity. Great depth all the way through the palate - finishes with a lovely lemon curd flavour. Really liked this.

Big, powerful nose with aromas of lemon tart and wholemeal toast. Creamy textured and quite rich on the palate, but enough acidity to keep it well balanced. Long and layered, there’s popcorn, more lemon and a lingering butterscotch flavour on the finish. These are lovely. Shame that was my last one.

This is lovely. Powerful and expressive. Aromas of lemon and chamomile and then this really comes alive on the palate. There’s pithy lemon on the entry, rounds out through the palate with stone fruits coming through before a cleansing bitter noise on the long finish. Great!

Really enjoyed this - I can see it becoming a regular drinker. There’s red fruits on the nose, it has a supple texture with strawberry fruit, white pepper and a little spice. Quite a simple style but it’s lovely and vibrant.

Lovely nose with aromas of Cherry and a herbal character. Bright and fresh with juicy fruit, some people have called this lean but I don’t see that. There’s great depth of flavour with a Cherry Cola note and a touch of spice.

Very similar notes to the last bottle. Intense nose with kirsch. Very intense and spicy. Juicy rather than jammy. Raspberry fruit on the palate. Very long.

This is excellent for the price. Black fruits dominate the nose. The palate is layered with black fruits, a lovely floral lift, and a touch of spice. Long length. Good. Will look for more of these.

Last bottle of these. In a lovely place. Nose of blackcurrant fruit and graphite. Still very fruit-forward, it has a slightly creamy texture and a bit of grip. Good.

Notes of black and red fruited on the nose - there’s subtle vanilla and spices. The palate is silky smooth with a touch of grip, the bright acidity balances the berry fruit. There’s a little smoky, meaty note that comes through on the finish. Lovely to drink now, but there’s no rush at all on these. Superb.

Surprisingly dark golden colour - initially felt worrying. But not to worry. Aromas of spice, ginger, and stone fruits. It’s quite sweet, rich and luxurious. Enough acidity to balance the sweet stone fruits on the palate. The spicy ginger note returns on the long finish. Lovely.

Final bottle - Aromas of baked red fruits and a touch of leather. Still plenty of red fruits alongside the earthy, dried meat and leather flavours that are developing. Maybe a touch lighter in intensity than the last bottle.

Classic Bordeaux nose - black fruits, cedar. Lovely mouthfeel, the tannins are fine and well integrated. There’s more black fruit and pencil shavings. Great depth of flavour throughout the palate. In a lovely place, but no rush on these if you have lots.

Really powerful nose with kirsch and boiled raspberry sweets. It’s powerful, intense and spicy. There’s a richness to the fruit, more juicy than jammy. Raspberry. Red cherry compote. Very long. It’s a big boy but handles the power and intensity very well.

Yellowish gold colour. Very similar to the last bottle with that lovely citrus peel and sherries character. Starts fresh but gains power through the palate. Has that nice touch of grip that you always get in these. Nice nutty almond character on the long finish too.

Raspberry and red cherry on the nose. It’s fresh and bright with quite a luxurious mouthfeel for a Beaujolais. There’s red berry fruit with a sour edge, a leafy undergrowth character, and what I tasted as a bacon fat note on the finish. Thought this was excellent.
