nice barnyard on the nose, but not enough fruit and too closed at the finish.

Definitely cola / carbonated beverage at the beginning, but with 30 minutes it settled and was very interesting. Cola, bark, then blueberries and dark fruits.

Reminds me of a Loire wine w a little Brett. Funk city. Delicious natural wine.

Barnyard, tobacco, spice, peppers, blueberries. Didn't evolve as much as their older wines do, but still so interesting and delicious

91. Sweet and deep but not syrupy, not over oaked.

Agree with the previous taster - very interesting. Lots of cranberries and also something that reminded me of a cedar chest but it wasn't over powering.

I didn't get any burnt popcorn. Just some spritz and an enormous amount of strawberries. I loved the carbonic maceration here.

Spicy, heavy profile without weight if that makes sense. Pepper on a dark cherry.

Strawberry, gum, cherry candy and later some pine.

Not as good as last time - not nearly as much of the same rocks and earth.

tart, like the skin of green apples, grass, sour (maybe pencil shavings?). really nice for a summery day.

no oak; lots of typical st emilion (merlot) flavors: dark, heady stuff the first night and the second night lots of lighter floral notes on the nose.

The cork was wet, so we feared the wine had gone bad, but after sitting for a few minutes it smelled smooth and minerally with some cherry notes. Couldn't taste any oak -- very "organic" production quality, and in the mouth it felt a lot like a gamay for a Cab franc.

I don't Understand the high ratings -- this Pinot is not at all Burgundian. Tastes of vanilla and new oak. Yeck

This wine is not perfect -- it drops off at the end -- but the nose was so interesting and paired so well with my meal at blue hill I'm giving it 90 pts. Spice and gunpowder on the nose - maybe even doritos! --, then red fruits.

nose was initially quite menthol, then candy and concord grape juice. not quite as much funk or earth as I was expecting -- but there were more layers than I expected too. Nice, but not amazing.

Funky nose - some pine, barnyard, surprising barolo notes for a southern wine. Really lovely, and amazing value.

Delicious. Some earth and leather with cherry color. Burgundian, even, with sous Boise. - paid $40 at landmarc and felt it was a great buy.

Poured deep purple, initially a little closed but it opened and the fruits gave way to brush and oak. Was really nice.

Very green; it felt tight, and a day of breathing didn't really help it to open up.

Lots of sediment, and a sooty feel in the mouth, which surprised me. But the aroma and aftertaste both excellent

Outstanding wine -- full, rounded, maybe heavy on the tannins, but lots of sous bois.

Nice nose that mellowed quite flat after sitting. Lots of alcohol, with small, smooth tannins. Not very well balanced.

Smelled woody; flat; not jumping out of the glass...
