Still drinking well after a 30 minute decant which took the edge off the nose and allowed the wine to balance and drink beautifully, in particular for its age. Classic medium body Gigondas , good balance and a wonderful finish. Cellared since purchased. And I will drink up my remaining 2 bottles soon.

Classic everyday California cab - lots of fruit with little structure, well suited as a before meal cocktail wine or with basic, simple red wine dishes or for cooking. Decanting not needed and faded in about an hour.

Magnificent with first opened - full, rich body and classic bouquet, but began to fade after 30 minutes to a pleasant, but rather dumb medium/light bodied low acid wine that drank well for the next two days (using vacuvin and fridge). Best served at a dinner party where everyone enjoys the first glass.

Do not decant - I did an aggressive decant and the wine faded too quickly. Pour from the bottle and the abundant fruit and body quickly show - a classic old, well made Bandol that needs to be drunk in the first hour. Fortunately I have two more bottles!
