March 20, 2024 - A little bretty, but I kinda dig the green freshness this brings. Kinda rhone meets loire cab franc? Not really tertiary yet but I don't think there is much improvement to be had from here.

March 17, 2021 - Had some VA on the nose, and while underneath you can see some mature fruit notes, spice and earth, unfortunately the funk never blows off, so I would consider the bottle partially flawed.

March 14, 2021 - Double decanted for sediment and served an hour later. The lovely feral nose I smelled during the initial pour morphed into a big wall of brett when dinner came around, rendering it fairly unenjoyable for some. A few tasters initially thought VA, others called brett, others likened it to Levet or some geeky wine funk.

Stored the rest in vials and tried it the next night at cellar temperature. The brett on the nose was noticably reduced, with pronounced notes of dried rose pedals and sous bois. Palate is silky and fully resolved with a bit of spice. Beautiful length. I think it’s awesome tonight. Wish it showed better for everyone the night before though.

December 10, 2019 - Acker BYO 2019 (Tribecal Grill): This was a crowd pleaser, muscular but delicate and fine. Dark fruit on the nose, with years to go. 93-94

November 8, 2018 - Loads of nuance and spices. Asian spice. Red and dark berries. Still so much youth in this bottle. Very representative of Verset in a great year - delicate and feminine yet powerful and satisfying. A very good bottle.
