  December 16, 2009 - opened and drank with dinner. didn't study, but enjoyed more than 12/3/09 bottle. this one carried more fruit and threw more sediment. didn't notice the sour aspects, but was eating food throughout. still a pretty short finish.

  December 3, 2009 - dark, purple, translucent, but only just. nose of dark berries some smoke and then medicinal tone emerges with some time. in the mouth dark berries and not much else at first, but after some time something more sour and medicinal (in a good way) carries in the mid palate, but still relatively short finish. this is a fine, enjoyable wine, but remember hoping (not necessarily expecting) more on first taste in late 2006. will look to drink up no later than mid 2011.

  November 17, 2007 - Northern Rhones at Collin's (Chicago, IL): Very dark red in colour. Nose shows flavours of black and blue fruits over pepper, caramel and coffee. Palate is fairly tannic with more black and blue fruits, pepper and toast with a medium length, slightly warm finish.
