January 23, 2022 - Has lightened up considerably. Maybe a little thin on the palate but a nice fruity nose still

July 28, 2013 - - Crimsom color and aromas of black currant and dusty. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry with a light/medium body. Round texture with a medium finish - A touch hollow but still satisfying

February 26, 2013 - By the glass at the Waterbar & Steakhouse in Cairns. This has rounded up a bit since I tried it at the winery a couple of years ago, but without quite improving in the way I hope it would. The nose showed a nicely typical Coonawarra character of ripe cassis and plums, meat and earth fringed with just a touch of minty eucalyptus. It was ripe on the palate, a it sweet, with more black-fruited flavours at the fore, on an earthy, slightly herby background. The finish was rather warm, both with a spicy, herby, tobacco back-note as well as a touch of alcohol. However, while not the freshest of wines maybe, this was still well-balanced enough to go well with a nice, juicy steak. More developed than the last time round maybe, but neither better nor distinctly worse - it remains a decent, if hardly special Coonawarra Cab.

December 24, 2011 - What the? Just had this side by side with the 2006 shiraz and in some respects they are largely the same wine - simple sweet but to be fair appealing. The grainy herbal fruits in the back palate point to the cabernet and there's some bitey acid too. Just fails to speak of the region or indeed mount a compelling case.

November 20, 2011 - Really enjoyed this wine. Infectious type nose of cassis, blackcurrant, dark chocolate. The palate followed the integrity of the nose with great oak, smooth tannins and excellent flavour.
