July 8, 2016 - Friends at the House: This bottle was brought over by a friend. I am not much of a Zin fan overall, but this kicked out some nice brambly earth notes along with the ripe blackberry, plum, and cedar flavors. It had some spice too, which complemented the bacon-wrapped medjool dates with paprika and asiago cheese with which it was served.

Seemed like it was drinking at an optimum window. Initial PnP didn't differ much to the taste of it after an hour or two in the glass.

91-92 points. Still had a bit of that rounded, grapey mouthfeel about it (the way many Zins can have). Not as delineated as a top-shelf Carlisle or Turley Zin (for example), but this WS certainly had some nice earth and depth to it.
