December 16, 2022 - Brilliant wine, just brilliant. Thank Ken Wright for using technical corks, no chance of a corked bottle after twenty years. Sadly the last of my 6 bottles but it is drinking beautifully and if you are lucky enough to have bottles remaining don’t be in any hurry to drink them. I’ve never had a bottle of DRC, but I cannot imagine a P/N better than this.

February 10, 2018 - Lush, silky red fruit with moderate tannins and viscocity. Some charred apricot skin on the finish probably indicates some oxidation but overall a very pleasurable experience. I don't think these were build to age but they still give delight.

February 27, 2015 - From magnum. Decanted 2 hours. The initial impression was disappointing--herbacious, firm, not very exciting. But after an additional 3 hours, this really started to shine. The nose started featuring sweet and Asian spices, fruit skin. The palate fleshed out offering gentle sweetness and fresh black cherry flavors. The acidity is fresh and lively. The tannins are fully resolved. Final flavor impression is of tart red cherries. A nice treat that is certainly in need of drinking--even from magnum.

May 10, 2012 - 2002 Oregon Pinots - Tasted Blind (Tom's house in Palo Alto, California): Gorgeous nose. A little bit sweet. Seems like it needs more time. Tasted blind.
    My #5, Group's #4

May 10, 2012 - Blind Tasting 2002 Oregon Pinots (with pre's and Burg ringers) (Tom's House, Palo Alto, CA): Reticent nose that opened up to show some black cherry fruit. Light to medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Sweet cherry supported by great acidity. Nice fruity finish. (my 3rd, group's 1st - Flight 2)
