August 20, 2022 - Bone dry yet highly concentrated, it had a bitter aftertaste at first but softened with air. I found this interesting but only mildly enjoyable.

May 24, 2020 - Color is a burnished gold - looked advanced and I worried it was oxidized. Nope, smellls like tarragon and apricots, more apricot on the palate along with a lavender (dry) honey note. After a couple of hours open, a pineapple note develops. Bone dry but lots of tropical and stone fruit aromas and flavors. This kind of reminds me of a middle aged Hermitage blanc with more acidity and less palate weight. Good stuff and an excellent match with BBQ wings.

May 4, 2018 - Fri Night Blinds (château du Chevlin): Tasted blind, moderate oak, a touch of detectable heat, moderate acid, full bodied. Had a new world build but everything about the wine felt old world. I couldn't even call a varietal. This one really stumped a few of us. Surprised at the reveal, I had this exact wine a few years back! Maybe not a go to for me but definitely a fun and food friendly wine.

April 3, 2018 - Barnyard nose, quite flinty. Notes of white flowers. In the mouth quite nutty, silky and with a hint of grapefruit. Nice now but can probably age effortlessly.

September 13, 2016 - Not very familiar with this varietal but man was it a fun wine. The nose reminded me of a Belgian strong ale (prankster or delirium tremens), spicy, banana, and a touch of citrus. Great acidity, fuller body, rich texture. Amazing food wine, paired well with opening dishes. I look forward to trying many more trebbiano's after this.
