November 26, 2022 - Overnight at Sydenham; 11/26/2022-11/27/2022: Decanted for an hour or so, served with roasted poussin. Very resolved into maturity. Don't see it improving from here but it hasn't crashed either. Graceful.

November 15, 2019 - amazed how this wine is in such a good spot. While it has likely passed its prime it is no where near a steep downhill. The aromatics on this are crazy with the merlot smell/taste has taken over the sangiovese. Such a nice bottle. I likely added a point or 2 because of how it overwhelmed my expectations given its age

August 24, 2018 - Passer en carafe pour un plus plus d'une heure.
La robe, malgré l'âge, est resté foncé dû à la part de merlot dans le mélange. Au nez et en bouche, on retrouve toute la gamme de fruits noirs imaginables, dans une version passant du plus mûre au confit. Puis, le vin se transforme encore, révélant un bouquet d'épices orientales. On y retrouve notamment le poivre noir et le cayenne.
La structure tannique du vin est encore bien présente, et le tout évolue rondement. La finale est asséchante.
Compte tenu des informations que j'avais, je suis surpris de la performance de cette bouteille. Elle est peut-être passée son apogée, mais ca reste un très bon vin. Note finale: la bouteille en question avait été parfaitement conservée en cellier et le bouchon semblait encore neuf. -
