January 2, 2022 - Leather , sour cherry, a little iron with Flannery hanger, long finish. Best showing, which I had more, would hold it a few years.

July 15, 2021 - P&P + drinking over 4h. Dried fruit and still nice sweetness, opened up beautifully after 2h getting more spicy, but offered soft texture and hints of aging when P&P. Peaking in 5 years?

March 13, 2021 - Needed a longer decant than my 70 minutes , but some of the sour cherry mentioned by others began to peak through the iron. Sort of the Pommard of Falletto.

March 7, 2021 - Bolognese, Brovias, and more (My place, Chicago IL): Nose: This took a bit to wake up. When it did, it was a lovely and nuanced Barolo with wafting tones of balsamico, dark red cherries, raspberries, ash notes, violets, crushed rocks, licorice, tobacco, and savory herbs.

Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with crisp, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The structure is starting to resolve and it’s left a poised feel that is backed up by tones of dark red cherries, raspberries, balsamico, violets, savory herbs, tobacco, and crushed rocks.

Overall: This is right at its peak. There was a lot of nuance and elegance with it having gotten to that point where the fruit has melded in with the secondary and emerging tertiary tones.

March 24, 2016 - What an intriguing bouquet, as the Brovia Rocche seems to pull you deeper into the glass with its display of undergrowth and crushed stone giving way to charred meats, dark fruit and hints of herbs. On the palate, I found silky textures, firmed up quickly by brisk acidity and youthful tannin, yet still showing focused cherry and strawberry fruit along with inner floral tones. The finish was long, yet youthfully austere with remnants of dried cherry and minerals.
