April 13, 2024 - Not had this vintage before, v fine bubbles, biscuity, not a great vintage but I enjoyed it for its refinement & readiness

November 12, 2023 - Light golden color with vigorous beading; shy nose of baking spices, ripe apple and hints of apricot; initially tight but slowly opens with airing, gaining complexity over an hour plus. Not at all graceful, having a bit clenched and austere finish. Would expect this to round out and relax with more bottle aging. 94+ with upside anticipated.

July 16, 2023 - Champagne Cornucopia - DP vs Krug MV (Chez D): Evidently the highest ever proportion of Chardonnay in DP, and some talk of botrytised grapes. Autosuggestion perhaps but I did get a sense of Comtes on the attack, and it left the palate with some sweetness. My winner for this flight.

July 6, 2023 - 2 bottles opened for a team lunch. First time for me with this vintage of dp. Bright yellow colour with a hint of gold. Fresh nose. Really good on the palate. Lovely balance with not a hair out of place. Very pleasantly surprised for what I thought was a weak vintage.
