January 30, 2024 - Nice bottle. Oak integrated. Dark fruits. High ABV but carries it well; balanced by acidity, fruit. Lots of life left.

January 14, 2024 - Tasted like a shot of bourbon with some grape juice. I love Shafer, this bottle tasted flat without any fruit, which if am fine with and prefer. Yet, the only thing I could taste was the alcohol and oak. Maybe the bottle was flawed?

August 12, 2023 - Gorgeous. Lifted sweet black and blue fruit layered with floral notes and pasty dough. Drinking really well now. Tannins still present, should go another 10+ years.

October 15, 2022 - Decanted 2 hours and enjoyed with pork loin. This is definitely in a sweet spot. 2 bottles to go and don’t think I will wait long on opening those. Nice!!!!
