  April 17, 2015 - MASTER ESAGONALE FRANCIA; 1/14/2015-7/30/2015 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. Affinamento solo in acciaio.
  Subito gommoso, quasi una pallina di Pongo! Ha bisogno di aria, perché si avverte la caleidoscopica carica aromatica in sottofondo, ma in parte ancora velata dalla giovinezza.
  Molto vegetale, fiori di campo, finocchietto selvatico e zenzero. Poi la frutta secca, il burro di noccioline e i funghi crudi tritati. Naso grassoccio e golos, quasi candito di precisione germanica.
  Bocca ancora più precisa, un laser! L' acidità è incanalata su un binario centrale che non le permette di sfiorare le mucose, quasi ovattata dal residuo zuccherino perfettamente controllato e mai sopra le righe, tant' è che nel finale torna l' amaro dal vermouth, quasi severo, a ricordare l' assenzio e i grani di senape, in una trasfigurazione nobile del Martini Bianco, di razza ed eleganza minuziosa.
  La mineralità amara finale si impossessa delle mucose tipo ventosa.
  Vino prodigioso da attendere almeno 5 anni.

On the palate quite acidic with white fruits and a lot of bitterness. Clean and focused. Quite acidic and dry for an Alsatian wine, but I am not a great fan of this wine. No score.

  September 27, 2014 - Citrus, yellow apples, minerals and petrol on the nose, stringent yet pleasant acidity, somewhat weak body otherwise a very good wine with a long aftertaste .

  May 13, 2014 - Pop and pour. Floral notes on the nose; on the palate, some sweetness initially with a burnt rubber/plastic flavor, followed by lychee, pear, lemon/grapefruit citrus, and a hint of orange blossom on the short, moderately acidic finish. OK for the price.
