November 15, 2023 - Lacks some vibrancy and focus, but still delivers enough flavor to make for a food friendly wine, this Valmur is night and day compared to the 2019 Droin Clos served next to it. The finish fell apart a bit, so I’d say drink ‘em if ya got ‘em.

The palate showed the same as the nose, with orange and lime flesh, skins and pith.
Might be one of the very few Chablis I’ve had that didn’t really show any kind of excitement or liveliness. I wonder if this was meant to be tasted young. The flavors are there, it just lacks juiciness and freshness for me. -
