April 16, 2020 - Holding on very strong. Great fruit and minerality. Needs a good decant to blow off some mild reduction.

December 6, 2019 - Best bottle yet. Has now hit its stride expressing so much orchard fruit and mineral. Tense and nervy palate. In a good spot now,

April 7, 2018 - Fine réduction, beurre, fleurs blanches, bouche tendue, avec de la matière, longue finale avec une belle acidité, très bon

August 1, 2017 - Dinner at TDS (Chicago, IL): A fair bit of reduction in the nose. Behind the big matchstick note, some crisp white fruit and mineral is trying to poke out. The palate is less reduced and features nice chalky white fruit. There is nice pure crystalline quality with a lifted, intense finish.

August 1, 2017 - Dinner at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): There's a fair bit of reduction on this wine, showing up as the classic flinty smell, as well as a little bit of popcorn hull. The palate is much denser and more serious than the 2011 Corbins I had last year (that wine was a bit emaciated), and given the heightened acidity here, the fleshier body certainly helps a bit. I'm not sure I would have called this a Chassagne if served blind -- the style feels a lot more Meursault to me. This is delicious now, but I always wonder what wines made in this style will be like in 10, 15 years.
