  August 24, 2020 - This is a terrific Villages wine. Fresh, exuberant nose of bright red fruit, hibiscus, burnt matches, and cloves. In the mouth quit tart, but not offensively so, with great concentration of red fruit and persistence. It’s rare to see a Villages wine with such complexity.

  May 6, 2017 - Total surprise. A wine that stuns you without and without you.
  The olfactory part is squinting, incense, spice, flower.
  A dynamic wine that changes in the glass step by step. The mouth does not follow the absolute level of the nose (however wine is a village) but is still a faithful companion.
  An uncompromising wine, no concession to modernity, but pure talent!

  May 10, 2016 - MASTER BORGOGNA 2016; 5/10/2016-7/10/2016 (LA MADERNASSA RESORT GUARENE): Una bomba da anestesia nasale!! Canfora, trementina, fiori e ogni genere di spezia pungente, al limite del farmaceutico. La bocca non segue l' esplosione degli aromi, altrimenti sarebbe un Grand Cru. Al contrario li asseconda fornendo uno scheletro di trama acida, tesa e filiforme, su cui danzano gli 11,5 gradi alcolici. Mostra come al solito con estrema fedeltà i caratteri di crudezza e aromaticità vegetale dell' annata, senza filtri nè concessioni al modernismo. Esempio di stordente dinamismo e unicità.

  April 1, 2014 - 11.5% alcohol only. Dusty, peaty nose with floral aromas and red fruit. Very concentrated with high acidity. Long, needs 5-6 years or more.
