September 21, 2020 - Seems a bit faded; I remember enjoying this more when it was young. Still has l'Ecu's particular briny flavor; finishes short.

August 11, 2018 - Unlike the 2012 version, this wine at least has a passing resemblance to a Muscadet. There is a faint briny note on the nose, and a saline/quinine note on the palate. Still not convinced I would correctly identify the varietal here blind, but if you forget typicity, this is decent.

December 18, 2016 - Lighter colored than the 2012 version of this wine; nose has a distinct grassy note that I would associate more with a Sauvignon Blanc than a Muscadet.

Decent acidity, and reasonable length on the finish - and definitely preferable to the glass I just had of the 2012. Still not something I would identify as Muscadet blind, but as a white wine, not bad.

July 8, 2016 - Light yellow/bronze in the glass; a "grassy" nose that I would associate more with Sauvignon Blanc than Melon de Borgogne.

Light-bodied, fresh and vibrant on the palate. Decent persistence. I am probably spoiled by Pepiere's "style" with Clos des Briords, and I tend to compare every Muscadet to that benchmark, but have to admit that while this is very different, and not necessarily what I would consider "classic" Muscadet, I do like this.

April 1, 2015 - MASTER ESAGONALE FRANCIA; 1/14/2015-7/30/2015 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. Spezie erbacee pungenti, cloro e terra bagnata.
