March 30, 2024 - Light ruby core with a clear orange-tinged rim. Heavy aromas of saddle leather, barnyard, asphalt, and tobacco, underscored by brambly blackberry, nutmeg, and cigar box, and some underlying, more delicate floral notes. Palate carries over, with black pepper and licorice accents. Beautiful balance, with the acidity and fruit to last, but this is peak drinking to my palate.

December 15, 2022 - Served blind, I guessed as much as Northern Rhône but found this smooth and elegant enough to be Côte-Rôtie. Shows olives, dark berries, some smoke, a seamless wine, very finde, albeit a wee bit polished. Oak is fully integrated, the wine seems ready, yet no rush whatsoever.

November 25, 2022 - Another lovely showing of this. Not quite at the heights of the best bottles of this, but still fabulous Hermitage

January 6, 2022 - Online Blind Tasting #11: *** Note is based on 2x0,1l bottles filled about 2 days before the tasting from 0,75l bottle ***
Glass: Riedel Vinum Syrah / Zalto Universal
Clear, glowing garnet color. Clean, medium+ intense, developing nose. Smoked and dried meat, floral notes, tar, tobacco, olives and salty mineral notes. Fine, elegant and complex nose.
Dry, high, wonderful integrated acidity, high, fine and velvet tannin. 13% abv also very well integrated. On the palate salty, mineral notes, fine red fruit, smoked meat, Umami, spices, black olives. Weightless power, wonderful tension and pressure. Deep, dense and elegant, juicy. Very long, fine, salty and elegant finish. Potential for at least another decade. 94-95
