Meaty, savoury, dark hued fruits, a little tarry note, quite struck match/bacon fat reductiveness overall quite concentrated on the nose. Juicy, that reductive note quite forward on the palate, detracting from the wild black fruit, tannins are little chalky textured, time and plenty of it for me.

The palate is very much a reflection of this youthful nose, the acid is a little sharp though (reflection of vintage?) tannins are very much present but slightly subservient to the fruit. Nice.

    June 30, 2018 - Coravin fun - new arrivals (KC's place): From Coravin. Polished blackberry, cream, spice, almost buttery. Ooh, juicy and fleshy, berried fruit, sweet spice, long, very young, balanced. Not elegant but not as, ahh, 'rustic' as some Cortons I've enjoyed. Rather splendid.
