September 5, 2023 - Young and with plenty of rich, pure, concentrated fruit defying what one may think of 2014. Texturally complex. Lovely spice and floral complexity is emerging. A high quality Amoureuses. Lots of upside from here.

September 5, 2023 - Tuesday (Chicago, IL): Still very young, but unmistakably Chambolle in character with its delicate red fruit profile. A touch crunchy, with a light, elegant profile. The tannins are quite dense and it's clear that this will benefit from more time as they soften, but this really hits a Burgundy sweet spot for me. That said, I have always found Jadot's iteration a better value...

December 5, 2022 - Nose: red fruits, dried leaves, rice cake
Notes: such a surprise for a red from Joseph Drouhin, very sweet palate and to my surprise this 2014 is pretty ready for consumption and is showing extremely well. Rather delicious drink right now with a lot of potential in the future. I think this should be a great wine in the future. Another 8-10 years of cellaring would make this a fascinating wine. I think the 2014s were particularly good as I've never had much luck with his reds and they are often quite disappointing even from the top crus.

October 20, 2022 - bright red color with rim starting to show signs of age, at opening venison, cherry and violets on the nose, on the palate velvety and punchy fruit with a slight tartness, 4 hours after decanting- nose showing a toasty note, on the palate punchy and floral with a bit of hardness at the tail end, light venison note, lacey and ethereal, a bit of blueberry, attractive as it is- this also feels very light and shut down at present, more reserved than I would have expected at this point given the wine and vintage, that said this should open nicely in the near term.

May 14, 2022 - Betydelig mer tight nå enn for 1-2 år siden.

Har vakker og lyserød frukt, og lekre florale innslag. Essensen av Chambolle.

Veldig konsentrert i munn. Men er litt vel stram også her.

Vi konkluderte vel med at den var i en litt lukket fase. Lot være å score.
