  October 22, 2023 - Perfect pairing with wild chanterelle risotto. The color showed some age, but the fruit was still vibrant and rich. Last bottle of six, all were well-enjoyed!

Medium gold; fragrant white tree fruit with some oak; mature fruit and very good mouthfeel--not crisp, somewhat viscous. Paired well with ham/bell peppers quiche--almost delicious. The color was concerning, but the wine was fine, though it won't benefit from further aging. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase; but I'll change that. Synthetic closure (surprise) means I'll turn the bottles vertical. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

  December 24, 2018 - Best bottle yet, and my last of this vintage. Rich fruit, crisp minerality, everything in balance, glycerin mouth feel, long finish. So good!
