September 2, 2022 - WIMPS Champagne and Chardonnay Offline (La Trompette): Well this was a treat.
On the nose lemon curd and a hint of cider.
Gorgeous and expansive on the palate - ripe apples, custard. Very long finish.

This passed my "Wine Searcher" test but was sad to see this is rare as hens teeth

    January 25, 2022 - -Mature-
Small tight bubbles but low pressure when cork was removed

Dusty yellow fruit with almonds and some hints of cellar age on the nose
Taste is light fruit flavors of bruised apple and pear, lemon cream, and brioche. Not clearly BdN as I didn’t pick up any red fruits. This comes in an elegant soft package with a creamy texture

Age has softened this. Some would love the elegance but others might find it past it’s prime. I preferred this with more intensity and focus but this is very pleasant

January 21, 2022 - Ryan's ESPN Birthday: I like this! A little funk in the beginning, but that blew off quickly and gave way to rich notes of bruised apple, some savoriness, and concentrated mineral. Lovely restraint and focus. Delicious! Feel fortunate to have tasted.

November 7, 2021 - "Brunch is the gamay of meals" Vol. 2 (Chicago, IL): Disgorged in April 2012, V. 10. I think I used to like these wines a lot more. Nowadays, I just don't see the fuss about them. In fairness this may be in a bit of an awkward stage where it's starting to pick up a little bottle age but still lacking the complexity that comes with it. This has sadly thinned out a bit, showing somewhat prickly acids and some pear and apple notes as well as a hint of marzipan.

October 13, 2021 - Lovely showing of this. Very elegant, white fruits, touch of brioche, but overall restraint and poise is word here. Didn’t expect this entry level bottle to age so we’ll. Disgorged 2012
