Lighter side of medium color. Lots of caramel and baked sugar; yeasty/Play-Doh component; nicely balanced with just a touch too much acidity that detracts from the dried fruit, especially figs on the mid-palate. A solid lasting finish but lacking the third dimension that would merit a higher score. Excellent verdelho. -

August 25, 2014 - The Eatery: completely dry with sweet impressions, very powerfully flavored with high acidity and crushed walnuts, molasses, coffee, pecans, dried fig; intense, slightly aldehydic, very cool flavors. Like nothing else. This should be drank as an aperitif or with braised seasoned meats/stews, anything with nuts, cheese.
