September 9, 2022 - 200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Very advanced here as well. Earthy and nutty, borderline oxidative, not in the best shape either. It looks like we are really struggling off the gate here.

November 20, 2021 - Wines Enjoyed at John Kapon's 50th Birthday Bash (The Pool - New York NY): Popped, decanted and poured. All black fruit with lots of meaty and savory spice character. Excellent density and balance through very long finish. Still incredibly fresh for a 2000. Possible further upside.

November 20, 2021 - JK's 50th Birthday: Served blind. Classic old school Burgundy. So sweet with perfect ripeness, blue fruit, lots of earthy notes but very clean. 93-94

July 3, 2017 - A complex bouquet of wild berries, damson, grilled meat, vine smoke and pencil lead, becoming more floral and expressive with air, precedes a fine-grained wine underpinned by juicy acids and finishing with excellent persistence. More of an elegant mid-weight than this bottling is in the great years, where it requires more time in the cellar to reveal all its plenitude. 50-65% whole cluster.
