June 27, 2023 - Great I really liked this offering from Bushmills. Quiet floral with a smooth vanilla finish.

January 30, 2023 - Wonderfully complex and fruity, especially given the price
I love finding whiskies like this with tons of character at very reasonable prices. If you've read my reviews you might have noticed the pattern. This has big stone fruit notes on top and on the palate. It's a bit warming, and has pleasant oaky and floral spiciness as you near the finish of a sip. Very good value and easily worth repeats.

January 29, 2016 - [Final draft after tasting and emptying a bottle between December 29th of 2015 and January 29th of 2016.]

Bottom line: Elegant easy drinking whisky - sorry whiskey.

Therefore here is a video I uploaded on the all important question: Is The Bushmills 10 Girl Proof ?

Light pear, acacia honey and powdered sugar, almost like a slightly bitter grappa, with some very mild sherry dryness in the length. Not a stellar experience but quite pleasant if you take a greater sip as with most other whisky. If the sip is too small it is an 85 - maybe.

Direct comparison with the Bushmills Black Bush makes me clearly prefer the Black Bush although it's even cheaper and not a single malt. It is darker and slightly more serious.

The TN to my first tasting 2/2/2015:
[Tasted at "Pfeifen Huber" in Munich, in the back room here:]

This Irish style is seductive: an extremely soft dram ! The 10 year old is not all that much less interesting than the 16 year old, but of course of a lesser depth. Not mine.

March 27, 2012 - Quite nice, but lighter and a bit more muter in flavor than the Redbreast that was being poured at the same tasting (Gary's in Madison). More like Dewar's in weight, yet very enjoyable.
