March 1, 2024 - La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Walkaround vertical tasting. Magnum. Very easy, very fun now, especially for a Corton. Floral and nicely spiced with soft red and black cherry start-to-finish.

Naturally sweet, unforced red and blue fruit, fine acidity, and later soil and assertive dry tannins which put the appellation’s stamp on the wine. Elegant and relatively open on the attack, but the back end urges more patience. Excellent wines that really speaks of Corton. Very fine if not quite the depth of material that the 2015 possesses.

October 29, 2023 - Bourgogne visit 29/10-1/11-2023: Tasted 6 different cuvees in Bouchard's cellar. Limited comments.
This wine: Clearly better than Beaune Clos de la Mousse and Volnay Les caillerets. Medium+ tannins. Too Rustic for me. -

July 29, 2023 - Pinkish light crimson slightly metallic color. Opened the bottle for an hour then drank over 90 minutes. Nose very earthy with some blood, perfumed red fruits and a hint of earth and herbes de Provence. On the palate very light entry but builds mid palate with some pepper and finishes subtle with a buttery fat note. Truly surprisingly good given the vintage. My first Corton GC. I'm now really looking to sample in the distant future my DRC Corton 2016 and Méo-Camuzet Corton Rognet 2018.

March 3, 2023 - The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Magnum. Red. Very fragrant. Redder fruited, excellent acidity, lightly tannic. Amazingly open and supple for young Corton with beautiful feel, balance, and length. I really like the light touch here.
