November 29, 2012 - Restaurantkøb i CPH.

July 20, 2012 - Old world style yummy... yes there is a nose to this wine that is different but not in a bad way as one might infere based upon prior reviews. This wine smells like nature... it has all the elements in there... dark fruit, we leather, damp soil... the mouth is full with fruit, spice and wood... finish is long and pleasing. Nothing to dislike here...

November 27, 2009 - As always, solid effort from Adam Tolmach. I was expecting more fruit, but very balanced. Dark red color, chewy, but very earthy with good tannin balance. Very nice wine, well made for the price.

November 13, 2009 - Very dark color. Nose is amazing and funky - grilled meat, garrigue, cedar smoke, earth, herbs, sea mist, blackberry and black cherry. Palate doesn't disappoint, with luscious dark fruits, spice and some minerality. Great balance of acidity, tannin & fruit and very good length.

(OJAI Syrah SBC) Ojai Dear Friends, I'm avoiding a wild ram as I type this (I'm not kidding - it's beside the road and looks quite menacing although probably won't come near me) - a fact of life up in central British Colombia where wild (large) mountain animals continue to run free. I'm going to take a photo of this and post it on the web site next week as it's one of the largest animals I've seen in a while. I like the concept of wild animals with room to roam but the size of this ram looks like it could puncture my little rental car and push it off the side of the road. I stopped to take in the view but maybe I'll move a few hundred yards down the road... To cap off the pre-weekend festivities, here are three top wines from Ojai, all at prices that are eye-opening indeed. All have perfect provenance. We do not have much at this price level, so please be patient with Niki. Have a great weekend everyone - - Jon Rimmerman 2005 Ojai Santa Barbara County Syrah STRICT LIMIT 3/person (This wine is an absolute steal and I am not alone in this opinion....) 2003 Ojai Bien Nacido Syrah STRICT LIMIT 3/person 2005 Ojai Bien Nacido Pinot Noir STRICT LIMIT 3/person Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA CA8910 CA8920 CA8930
