January 14, 2022 - 2019 Visit to Cromwell (Central Otago, NZ): The 1999, the first vintage, was also oxidised and caramelised but, looking through this, seemed a better, less rich, wine than the 2004. Alcohol 14% ABV.

February 12, 2011 - Pale, clear golden hue. Bouquet of quince, preserved lemon, dried chamomile, hazelnut profiterole, butterscotch, truffle honey and an slightly oxidative minerality. A linear acid backbone structures the midpalate while the finish has a honeyed oiliness. Rich yet restrained, balanced and nuanced with a mature delicacy. A revelation. Simply stunning. Would've sworn it to be a white Burgundy if tasted blind.

March 6, 2010 - Regular dinner group (@ EM): A lot of oak, but good tropical fruits behind it. Banana. Mouth full of wine. Long finish. Good bitterness. Lacking some elegance. Still amazingly fresh.
