November 11, 2021 - Opened this as the night waned on. Tasted without food, though now looking back food may have helped. Sweet on entry—red fruits and decent acidity. Tannins are present but mostly a bit player. Fruitiness to the point of seeming cloying. Definitely a crowd pleaser but not the right wine to open up after other more structured, intriguing wines.

August 4, 2021 - Sure it has its shortcomings: too much oak, some rough edges in the mid palate, a short finish. But for the price it’s not at all bad as an undemanding wine with tomatoes and pasta dinner. It’s not particularly heavy handed in tannins or extraction so it’s not trying to be something it is not. Surprisingly pleasant and not too tiring to drink. Good QPR in a bracket I frankly don’t visit that often.
