September 15, 2018 - What I love about this basic Madeira is its mild sweetness (it is more off-dry than sweet, and certainly not cloying) combined with a searing acidity. The richness comes from a combination of vanilla and coffee on the palate. While it is very nice to drink, it is also cheap enough to cook with, and does amazing things to onion soup.

December 15, 2016 - $16.69 plus $6.85 delivery (what's still called "shipping," even though it's really "trucking"). Brown in colour. I would also describe it as brown in flavour, compared to other Madeiras I've had. Slightly burnt, like burnt or at least browned caramel. Still rich and flavourful. Would buy again at that price, although I'd rather pay $4.50 per bottle for ground delivery.
