July 13, 2023 - I'm not sure if it's bottle variation, or my palate, or time passing (surely not after just a few months) but this bottle is back to the oaky, caramel version of this wine I enjoyed a year ago, with the lemony fruit pushed back a bit. Very nice, though it needs chicken in creamy sauce, which I don't have tonight.

March 27, 2023 - Another encounter that can only be described as pure pleasure. Caramel and preserved lemon to the fore. A touch less acidity in this bottle than I remember, leading me to drop a point in my estimation. But still highly recommended.

January 6, 2022 - Notes similar to last time, except a few months on the slightly over-ripe orchard fruits are to the fore, and the oak not so evident. There's a spiciness tonight that hasn't previously caught my attention. A serious wine, and a very stimulating one.

June 3, 2021 - Light but glowing gold. A bright nose of hard to pick-apart vinous threads: there's sweet oak in there but also caramelised lemon. On the palate the oak is immediately apparent, and quite assertive, but there's loads of fruit to back it up and a crisp citrus top note that keeps it remarkably fresh. A very long finish. A huge step up from Morties' Pic St Loup Rousanne, this is a joyous, toffee-apple wine. The best white I've had so far this year. Who needs Burgundy? Roussanne, Vermentino, Viognier. 13.5%, cork.
