April 27, 2014 - Visit to Willamette Vally (Oregon): Dense, dark fruit. Very ripe. Actually pruned. Full.

June 13, 2006 - Nice kirsch aroma with a bowl full of rich red cherry flavors and long slightly tart cherry finish.

August 1, 2005 - An mouthful of cherries with crisp finish. May benefit with a little cellaring.

April 8, 2004 - This is the second vintage for William Hatcher. In 2001, he put out a base Pinot Noir called "A to Z" which was well recieved. William Hatcher is the former manager of Domaine Drouhin and is bottling Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon using purchased grapes. His winemaker is Sam Tannahill (formerly of Archery Summit) I believe. This was advertised as a lighter style Pinot but I found it to be medium bodied with a nice ruby color. It had some jammy fruit with strong notes of wet earth and spice. A medium to long finish. Give this a little more bottle time to settle down and come together. A little expensive at $33. 88-89 points.
