January 24, 2024 - Good tension but also very elegant and focused. It drank better than many Barolos. Amazing QPR.

August 13, 2023 - Drunk over pizza with family, no TN. Finished the bottle two days later.
Very young and will benefit from more bottle age, but drinks well already. Very interesting texture from the tannins and a complex flavor profile: not only red fruit, but a touch of herbal notes and even something cocoa-like.

May 23, 2023 - DnP. Medium purple, 5. Very primary red fruit oozing from the glass. Very fresh rustic palate, hat, h+A, mB, dry, intense fruity finish. Drink now-onwards

April 18, 2023 - The ‘21 Freisa is an electric young wine. I found this wine to have a fruit expression similar to a Barbera but a tannic structure more like a Nebbiolo. I lack experience with this bottling, but it would not surprise me if this wine improves with a few years in bottle, as it was quite intense and Freisa has the capacity to age well if well made in the still style.

On the nose, I found dark red to black cherry fruits along with some blue fruit tones, licorice, dark floral tones, and sweet spices. On the palate, the Freisa is intense although not because it is heavy, but simply due to the density of fruit, the high acidity, and the considerable youthful tannin. I found juicy, black cherry fruit, anise, and dark florals on the palate. The high acidity, high tannin, and the sweetness of the fruit combine for a very high energy, striking expression.

January 19, 2023 - Plum nose, sour cherry/cranberry palate, and very silky tannins. An arresting youngster. Check back in 3-5 years.
