Community Tasting Notes 4

March 9, 2024 - Black cherries, flowers and licorice carry the perfume. The palate is even better with its creamy-textured plums, cherries and salty, dark chocolate character. This is going to drink well on release and for at least 12 years. Close to 50% of the crop was lost to the frost. The wine blends 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2024-2037.

May 20, 2022 - Fresh, juicy and sweet, with accents of flowers, black cherry, plum, creamy coffee and leafy herbs. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, forward and fruity, with a bit of dust in the tannins and in the chewy fruit finish. Close to 50% of the crop was lost to the frost. The wine blends 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.67% ABV. Drink from 2023-2037. 90-92

April 28, 2022 - En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Served at Pavie
Plummy ripe, extracted, new oak, sweet spice, alcohol prickle lends spice. The palate a reflection of the nose; thickly engaging, tannins are subdued (compared to the alcohol-soaked fruits) and woody. Hmm
