June 18, 2021 - Deep purple color, thick, heavy legs and a huge nose of dark fruit and violets, the wine is pretty massive and delicious with just a touch of heat. Mouthcoating fruit followed by good acidity and some oak. The finish is very long and delicious finish. Went really well with grilled NY strip.

January 31, 2021 - This has aged extremely well since our last bottle several years ago (didn’t rate it then but probably was around 95). It’s now hit its stride, balancing near perfect acidity with sweet dark fruits, tobacco, exotic woods, and graphite minerality. The tannins are sweet and gentle, and the whole experience is almost something to chew on. Paired incredibly well with a perfectly cooled filet. Have 2 bottles left and probably will aim to drink in the next 2 years. Very impressive and worth the wait.

January 20, 2014 - A wonderful wine, although I probably didn't like it quite as well as the 2002, which was tremendous. Lush, mocha, great fruit. Highly recommended.
