April 7, 2017 - Dark color, youthful, more Nuits than Leroy this is a very restrained and classical style wine without a heavy Leroy signature. A precise wine with red fruits around a mineral core. I'd be inclined to give this another 5 years in bottle.

January 13, 2016 - Casual (Mostly) Burg Dinner with Friends (Abigail's American Bistro - Highland Park IL): Ripe blue and red berry on nose and palate. Some cherry cola hints to start that started softening with 15-20 minutes in glass. Forward and fresh with moderate weight. easy to enjoy, even if not super nuanced.
