January 10, 2024 - Dinner at Foliage (San Francisco): 2022 disgorgement (so probably 20217 base). Nice nose with sharp citrus notes, minerals, a hint of toast. Great acidity on the palate with round mouthfeel, some herbal notes, lemon, orange, and more bread/toasty flavors. Good finish that lingers. A very good wine that may have suffered from being poured next to the 19 Brochet Mont Benoit, which was just a bit better in every way. 92-93

January 7, 2024 - A friend's b-day tasting (Washington, D.C.): Loving the crunchy, nervy, salty vibe in this wine. Intense minerality, like climbing limestone with lots of chalk and having lemons and fresh bread crumbs dumped on you from above the whole time. Super fun wine, and a producer I need to follow more closely.

December 24, 2023 - dégorgée 12 Octobre 2022 - initially this was very fresh and crisp, then gradually the yeasty notes came out. Good acidity here with some depth on the palate.

December 24, 2023 - Finally got around to giving this a taste. 100% Chardonnay from Chouilly from the 2017 vintage. Disgorged October 2022 with 3g/l dosage. A fun and flashy label by Bur.
Nice pale golden color showing some maturity and depth have developed.
Green apple, quince, ripe lemon, unripe peach and some lime adding a really nice freshness and acidity, while brioche, toast and hazelnut added balance, depth and complexity. Extreme minerality and a nice showing of the Chouilly terroir. Showing nicely now and can be enjoyed already.
Overall this is a great BdB for the supposed price of ~€60-65 but I don't feel like it can stand up to the crazy market prices. -

November 8, 2023 - Pale gold with abundant foam. Very enjoyable nose with yellow fruits and citrus. On the palate precise, very acidic, super dry, austere and somewhat unidimensional.
Interesting, good for aperitif but not something outstanding. Don’t understand all the hype around it. Buy at €50 max.
