Community Tasting Notes 3

April 22, 2023 - Wild flowers, wilted roses, sous bois and dried red fruit on the nose. Palate was ethereal with lingering sweetness. Much better than my expectation. Definitely off peak but surprisingly enjoyable.

October 18, 2012 - Fourrier Griottes (The Ledbury, London): Paler garnet. Less sweet fruited, more earthy on the nose. Seems a little cardboardy and corked on the palate. Certainly mouldy earthy. Coming back to it, a little high-toned and quite smoky slightly oaky on the nose, a little strict and clipped on the finish, but there is still some interest here. ***. The comments around the table vary from corked, to oxidised, to reduced to lovely. The jury is split.
