September 17, 2018 - Fully mature, the wine is showing its age in the color and with its secondary notes that are already on display. Medium bodied, with spicy red fruits and olive tapenade in the finish, this is ready for prime time drinking.

October 12, 2017 - The Grand Tour - day eleven (Bordeaux): Very slightly dusty, touch of cocoa powder then Ribena over plum with mint and spice. Softening but still quite primary on the nose. In the mouth a little tertiary leather comes through, tannins are still chalky, savoury and quite tight still.

November 24, 2016 - Dry, long, still tannic; too young, but accessible. Cool style, very elegant.

November 5, 2016 - 2016 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly, Alan and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/3/2016-11/12/2016 (Villa D’este, Lake Como, Piedmont, Milan and Frankfurt): Nice harmonious nose displaying subtle sweet red nose and flowers that I associate with Cabernet franc, cocoa powder, ash and iron. Medium concentration, youthful yet round and silky, subtle red fruit driven palate impression, a hint of green, mineral, bright acidity, noticeable slightly coarse tannins and medium mineral driven finish. Quite youthful and need another five to ten years to reach the peak.
