December 10, 2021 - A typical Meo Brulees of the palate, structure, and perfume aroma. Allowed 6 hours of slow-ox in bottle. Ready for the show right at the start of the dinner with beautiful and a elegant palate of nice mineral, subtle spices and ample of fruits. The palate dropped quite fast on the other hand. It's better to finish it within 90-120 mins.

September 9, 2021 - Bottle acquired at the estate at the time for around € 180, it can be exchanged for € 400 today. It’s been years since I touched the few 2008s I have left and I was wondering where this cool vintage was.

The nose « pinote » nicely, it is floral and spicy. Vosne is there, there is no denying it.

The palate has a very pleasant silky touch, with aromas of kirsch and very pure fruit. The acidity is still quite high with a slender substance, the balance is maintained mainly by the breed and the quality of the juice, but not by its density. It is still very tasty but not a monster of complexity, although the finish, both explosive and velvety on the spices, saves the hollow of the mid-palate. Good length but nothing transcendent.

It's still very good but the whole is lacking in substance given the claims made. In any case, for € 200 it's already expensive, so at market value it's a disaster. Drunk after the Zapata Adrianna (bought at the same price), the bottle struggled to find its place. Above all, I don't see it improving greatly with age, I know this vintage from the estate that I really like, but to be honest it is one of the weakest Brulées that I have tasted. .

April 16, 2019 - Some More Wine with Meals in Burgundy and Northern Rhone; 4/9/2019-4/17/2019 (France): Great nose all night, with ripe black and red cherry and a complex array of spice. Palate certainly charming, just not quite as alluring, with similar flavors but not perfectly harmonious. Tart finish for the first 30-45 minutes, which nicely softened for the next hour, then firm again thereafter. Better to cellar a bit longer.

April 1, 2017 - Wines Tasted at HDH Auction (Tru Restaurant - Chicago IL): Most preferred the 2006 in the next glass, but I preferred this 2008, which clearly needs much more cellar time. Subtle floral and spice notes to start with black and red berries. Very firm and backward, even if showing a long and powerful finish. Better 2020 or even 2023 forward, with 92-93 point potential.
