November 24, 2018 - Académie des Cinquante Tasting “Spain according to Peñin” (Restaurant Bij Qunis, Lijnden, NL): Tasted blind. Rather reduced nose and slightly vegetal; quite unyielding on the palate too, subtle bitters; hint of petrol on the finish. Very difficult to assess. Probably too old.

March 15, 2014 - I pushed the drinking window on this bottle but not disappointed. Age has given it a pungent minerality with muted stone fruits. More creamy than crisp at this point but on the palate still has acidity, lemon and tropical flavors. I love this ice cold but as a rule should drink in the first couple of years. This producer is top notch and made me a consistent fan of Albarino.
